Zoho Mail email configuration guide
Zoho Mail: Port 25 delivery
Explain server-to-server delivery and provider restrictions on outbound port 25. Start with the exact domain, subdomain, and provider account that owns the route.
A provider configuration symptom may look like:
Port 25 delivery after a provider configuration change.
Start with the exact mail identity
Provider configuration depends on whether the record belongs to incoming MX, an envelope MAIL FROM domain, a DKIM selector, a DMARC policy, or an SMTP submission client. A record at the apex is not automatically the record used by a provider subdomain.
Evidence to collect
- The exact domain or subdomain configured in the provider account.
- The provider-issued record name, type, and value, copied without shortening it.
- The current public DNS response and authoritative owner.
- A recent provider verification result or message header when available.
Safe correction sequence
Compare the provider’s current official instructions with the public record. Correct only the mismatching owner or value, preserve other active senders and receivers, allow DNS visibility, and rerun provider verification. A matching public record can still require provider-console activation or propagation time.
MailFixIt boundary
The public checker can expose bounded DNS evidence on related pages. It does not access Zoho or GoDaddy accounts, validate credentials, clear provider reputation decisions, or guarantee mailbox delivery.
Frequently asked questions
What does MailFixIt check for Zoho Mail?
It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.
Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?
No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
