SpamExperts: inbound mail bypasses filtering or is not received
The domain's MX records may not match the Hosted Cloud, regional, or private-label routes configured for the account.
The visible symptom is:
Inbound mail bypasses SpamExperts filtering or stops after the MX change.
Fix the mail route
- Add the domain and confirm its destination server in SpamExperts.
- Allow the documented SpamExperts delivery IPs through the destination firewall.
- Choose the global, regional, or licensed private-label MX set for your account.
- Publish every hostname with the documented priority.
- Remove old MX records only after the destination route is ready.
- Run General > MX verification tool, then send a new external test.
Common causes
The destination server was not ready, the wrong region was used, only part of the MX set was published, or an old MX still allows direct delivery around the filter.
What the check proves
MailFixIt can show the public MX set and conflicts. SpamExperts must confirm the domain, destination, and filtered message path.
Frequently asked questions
Should old MX records remain as low-priority fallbacks?
No. SpamExperts warns that senders can use old MX records to bypass filtering. Use only the complete MX set intended for your account.
Does a correct DNS record prove the provider is using it?
No. The provider must also activate the matching route or signing policy. Confirm the result in its console and in a new message.
